It’s disturbing to say the least, but it’s good to have additional verification of what those of us watching the CapX 2020 utilities demand know — IT’S NOT NEEDED! RPU demand, as with Xcel, has been dropping since 2007. I can’t wait to see the 2009 numbers. Comparing your 2005 and 2009 projections, you’re way down and have pushed out any need for a long, long time. Which the CapX 2020 record reflects as well.
My main comment is that you need to use more current data, the 2005 report used 2003 data, 2 years. The 2009 report is based on 2006 data, three years, but as we know, that’s the last year showing an increase, and since then, down, down, down. Update the report, use 2008 data, and redo the forecasting for a more credible report.
