Arbor Day Celebration moved to Graham Arena 1 due to possible rain and thunderstorms

The Arbor Day Celebration has been moved to Graham Arena 1 at Graham Park due to possible inclement weather. The event will begin at 11 a.m. and is open to the public. There will be over 3,000 trees to be handed out to the public along with a free lunch for all attendees.

This was a great event and I wanted to thank you for hosting it. I would like to recommend that we figure out a way for the public to be able to participate more. There were SO many school aged children at the event (which I understand is a reward for the great poster winners and their classes) — however, my family and I (along with many other families that we sat with) could not even get to the booths, we were lucky to get a table to sit at. Sadly — we didn’t even get a tree to take home.

This was our first year attending the event — and we look do forward to coming again next year. Thanks again for supporting such a great cause!

Thank you for your feedback. We are gathering feedback to make improvements to next year’s Arbor Day celebration. If you have additional ideas or suggestions, please let me know. I will forward your posting on to the person who leads the event. Thank you for your time.
